Spider's Nest Creations was officially branded on May 1, 2016. In the time since then, there have been ups and downs as founder Keyera Ronning has worked to refine the focus of SNC.
The name "Spider's Nest Creations" came after a series of other possible studio names. Keyera didn't want to simply use her name for her business, especially as she hopes to eventually partner with more artists. She settled on the current name because spiders and their webs have always fascinated and inspired her (in spite of a mild fear of the creature).
Originally, the studio covered a very wide range of things that didn't seem to go well together at all. Keyera enjoys a variety of crafts, and though she tried many times, it took a while to find a cohesive way to bring them together.
After transferring to complete her Bachelor's Degree at New Jersey City University, she finally found the perfect way to marry all of her work under a single umbrella while keeping the variety she loves.
Bringing It Together
SNC puts art and therapy together, which in itself isn't a new concept. However, using her own experiences with mental health treatment, Keyera hopes to create a unique model that treats clients like people. Although SNC is a for-profit venture, the future of the brand is steered toward affordability and support.
Keyera combines two-dimensional and three-dimensional art to create and build a safe and encouraging environment for clients, whether mentally ill or not. Although her illustrative focus remains on fantasy, she uses this central idea to expand and build upon the brand.
By giving your support to the Spider's Nest, you are helping to build the foundations of a brand that we hope will change the way that mental health is viewed by the world, and the way that mentally ill patients and clients are treated as they seek help from health professionals.
